Tandem Group

Bradbury Fields has enabled visually impaired people to enjoy cycling with specially trained volunteers and the provision of tandem bicycles. We have access to transport with a specially designed trailer to enable the riders to take part in a wide range of activities outside Merseyside.

Many of our rides set off from the Bradbury Centre and go to a wide range of destinations, most Sunday rides can vary in distance from thirty to thirty five miles, always with a pub or cafe as a half way stop.

In the past we have met challenges to ride from St Petersburg to Moscow (1997) and from John O’Groats to Lands End (1998).  However the main challenge is faced by those who go out every week to keep fit, enjoy the countryside and meet friends.
