Philip Longworth

Chief Executive
Started in this role: April 2013

Phil has extensive social care and business development experience having worked previously in industry before undertaking his specialist qualification to work with blind and partially sighted people. He previously managed Christopher Grange Visual Rehabilitation Centre and RNIB's Northern Regional Employment Service.  In 1998, he became Chief Executive of Age Concern St Helens. During this time he led the merger of three Age Concerns to form Age UK Mid Mersey. During this time Phil helped develop a thriving trading subsidiary which generated unrestricted income for use by the charity. Phil’s aim is to strengthen and protect existing services whilst at the same time developing new and innovative products and services that will help Bradbury Fields to expand. 

Out of the office Phil enjoys participating in and watching all sports. He also likes music, dining, the theatre and travelling.

Nicky Barnett

Rehabilitation Services Manager Liverpool / Deputy Chief Executive
Started in this role: September 2006

Nicky has worked with us since April 2004 as a Rehabilitation Worker and now manages the Liverpool Rehab team processing referrals and allocations, doing supervisions and appraisals and representing Bradbury Fields at various council meetings. She also deputizes for the Chief Executive, Phil. Whilst off duty Nicky enjoys walks in the park.

Jamal Abdullah

Rehabilitation Officer
Started in this role: April 1997

BeActive Coordinator

Jamal joined as a Community Outreach Worker in April 1997 and later qualified as a Rehabilitation Officer. Jamal provides specialist assessments; training and support to visually impaired people in Liverpool and has an expertise in working with people within BME communities. Jamal took on a new project in September 2013 to strengthen and support Guide Dogs My Guide scheme. Away from work Jamal is in his element when he is listening to his favourite music and socializing with his family and friends.

Louise Miller

Community Fundraising Coordinator

Started in this role: January 2019

Originally Louise joined us in August 2000 as a support worker then progressed to a Rehabilitation Assistant.  Louise then ran our Active Vision Clubs for 12 years until moving onto to Fundraising. When Louise is not planning events & activities she spends her time drinking endless pots of tea and rummaging around in vintage shops whilst on city breaks.

Gillian Dottie

Business Development Manager

Gill has worked in the voluntary sector for over 30 years, initially as Administrator at the National Wildflower Centre just down the road in Huyton and more recently as Regional Administrator at Christian Aid’s North West office in Warrington. She joins the team to develop unrestricted income streams of the Garden Suite, Bistro and Hospitality Services here at the Bradbury Centre.

Outside the office she has a love of the Countryside, owns a Vintage Campervan that needs constant attention and enjoys cooking for family and friends.

Maria Schofield

PA to the Chief Executive

Started in this role: June 2009

Maria is responsible for the upkeep of Phil’s diary and appointments, arranging meetings with staff and other agencies, organizing the refreshments and travel requirements for those attending meetings and taking minutes when needed. Maria also produces documents of a confidential nature for the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees in whatever format is required, be it standard, large print, audio or Braille. Away from the office Maria has a busy time with her family, her lovely little Bichon Frise dog Charlie, and visiting her relatives in Italy and Sicily as often as possible.
